The ATUM Pure in a steel-hard case
Outwardly, the ATUM Pure is virtually unchanged. The steel housing advantageously underlines the instrumental character of the model line. The gray or blue dial is finished with a fine brushed finish, which is painted white. Diamonded bevels on the second hand and the attached indexes enhance the subtle sportiness. The lance-shaped hands are matched with the indices with straight edges and wide chamfers. They are made by hand of stainless steel, a modern material which retains its high toughness after tempering. The pointers get their final look through the "Hy-Ceram" white handmade pouches and an elaborate polish.
A heart of pure watchmaking
When looking through the visible floor on the back of the case, the 201.0 caliber is visible in the Pure Classic finish. It is specially designed for installation in steel housings. The finest clear aesthetics are characterized by the glass-bead-blasted circuit boards made of nickel silver. The fine-matt surface is highly sensitive and requires the highest precision during assembly. For this, the white sapphires typical for Grossmann are pressed directly into the PCB and flat-polished factory screws are used in the original steel color.
The caliber 201.0 includes some of the most prominent proprietary developments of the manufactory, such as the Grossmann's balance, the modified Glashütter lock and the Grossmann's manual lift with pushers. The characteristic Grossmann's balance works with a hand-bent, double-bent flat spiral. The return pin remains free and the arc can be placed exactly centered. By means of constructive adjustments to the regulation, the adaptation of waste and aisle is possible separately and without removal of the oscillation system. For this, the Grossmann watchmakers have stored the rotatable log carrier in the balance cock so that it can be locked comfortably. The backrest, the block carrier and the upper balance bearing are completely free from one another and ensure the precise adjustment of the ATUM Pure at all times.
